LampCloseUp.jpg
Lamp Close Up4706 viewsAn old-fashioned lamp appears in the small window. The image has been blown up and is grainy, but the outline of the lamp is clear. This window has no electric outlet and is only accessible by a ladder.

Spirit Lights3711 viewsSpirits frequently appear as cone-shaped lights. The light appears on the bottom left side of the photo.
SarahEstep.jpg
Sarah Estep Attends Seance4060 viewsPicture of the Seance. Laura Berg is on the far left and on the top right is Sarah Estep. Sarah Estep has recorded for many hours in search of EVP. She is featured on the "Sightings, The Ghost Report" videotape and recorded "I was seeing the war" in the basement of the lighthouse. Sarah Estep has since retired from EVP research. Three members of the MD Committee for Psychical Research returned to Point Lookout in February, 1980 for a followup visit. After investigating the entire lighthouse, we had a seance. 35 mm cameras were placed in three corners of the room and as well as several candles. Ron & Nancy Stallings, their son and Laura Berg participated in the seance while Gerald Sword, Erik Berg and Kevin Mack photographed.

LanternRoomFaceCloseUp.jpg
Lantern Room Face Closeup1481 viewsJust before dusk on Saturday September 19, 2009, my wife Kathy and I visited the Point Lookout Lighthouse for the Lighthouse Challenge. We were late getting to Point Lookout. In fact, we were the last ones to sign the log for that day. I climbed the stairs to the upper part of the lighthouse and took some pictures while my wife waited on a bench outside the lighthouse. I was the only person above the ground level floor at that point. I then climbed through the entrance to the cupola and was taking more pictures. In both pictures, a man's face is clearly distinguishable. The image appears to have some sort of facial hair and glasses or goggles (or some something on his eyes.) I was not wearing glasses. The image is definitely not my reflection. My family has taken an interest in the pictures and we did some research on the internet. We thought there is a possibility that the image could be that of William Yeatman, a lighthouse keeper who died at the light house after serving 37 years as keeper.

Orb on the Wall3574 viewsThis is a group picture, with Laura in the middle. Notice the orb on the left side of the picture, just to the right of the window and up near the ceiling.

D'arcy5168 viewsThis was D'Arcy's first visit inside the Lighthouse. We toured the lighthouse including both sides of the basement with Heather Hunter, Public Relations from the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. This is the only photo from all the ones taken that day that is like this - it appears there is a figure standing directly behind D'Arcy which makes the photo look distorted.
SSDenU.jpg
Orb at Den3440 viewsNotice the U shaped light to the right of the light bulb in the ceiling. The blurriness could be attributed to an orb in motion. During the investigation, the south side den was one of the hot spots for orb activity.

Control pictures did not contain the odd shaped blob.

ManVestHat1.jpg
Man in a Vest and Cap, Second Shot1335 viewsThis image appears to be the silhouette of a man wearing a hat and a poncho. The picture was taken at the end of the April 4th open house. The image appears to be see thru. Was this someone in the lighthouse, or is this a visitor from beyond? This is the second of 2 pictures that were taken back to back.

Sunglasses.jpg
Sunglasses 1221 viewsThe sunglasses were found by Dustin Rusk and Terry Munsinger in the south side basement, western side (under kitchen). They seem to resemble the glasses in the picture that was taken in the cupola several weeks earlier during the Lighthouse Challenge. The glasses have been in the basement for a number of years.Nov 09, 2009

Spirit Lights3441 viewsThis picture was taken in the basement and the spots that showed up on the film were not visible to the naked eye. I cleaned the lens, so I am fairly confident that this is not a problem with the camera. Similar dots appear in other pictures taken in different parts of the house. The dots could be reflections of dust particles in the sunlight. Or not.
Some pictures have unexplained orbs that are said to symbolize spirits. Decide for yourself, but something is in this picture! The orb to the right of the sink almost appears to have a face, but then again so does the man in the moon. The picture was taken with a digital camera; digital cameras have gained a reputation for creating orbs that aren't there.
