The lighthouse is located inside the Point Lookout State Park and is secured behind a fence. The lighthouse is only open to the public during special events. Please note that visitors will be required to pay an entrance fee to gain admission to the park. Directions from Baltimore:

From Rt. 695, follow Rt. 97 south to Rt. 3 south (Rt. 3 will become Rt. 301). Continue on Rt. 301 south into Upper Marlboro. Take Rt. 4 south and continue across the Solomons Island Bridge. At the first traffic light turn left onto Rt. 235 south. Follow Rt. 235 south to the blinking red light at the intersection with Rt. 5. Turn left onto Rt. 5 south and follow approximately 7 miles to Point Lookout State Park. After the park entrance, follow the road to land’s end and the lighthouse.
 

Directions from the Rt. 301 Bridge:

Follow Rt. 301 north to Rt. 234 toward Leonardtown. When you reach the end of Rt. 234 at Rt. 5 turn right. Follow Rt. 5 south to Point Lookout State Park. After the park entrance, follow the road to land’s end and the lighthouse.
