Eunice_JuliusEatingCrabs.jpg
Eunice & Julius Eating Crabs1094 viewsEunice and Julius Knott eating crabs on his family’s back porch. This picture was taken at Julius’ childhood home after the couple was married. This property was destroyed by a fire some years later. Eunice's father, Herman "Mac" Metivier would not allow crabs to enter his house. Eunice's first taste of a Maryland crab came when she met her future husband, Julius Knott. Mr. Knott also worked at the lighthouse.

5791 viewsI took the photo of this room with friends after my wife suddenly felt uneasy in the room. When the film was developed, this image appeared. There was no light visible at the time the picture was taken. The rest of the developed film did not have any other lights on them. There was no bright sunlight present in the room at the time of the photo. The day was a gray overcast day with no bright sun shining.

PinkOrbs072004.jpg
Pink Orbs7611 viewsWe began an investigation in the North side basement (under the dining room and kitchen). Several minutes after we saw a shadowy figure move across the room, Laura capture the top picture with a pink orb. About 15 minutes later, we decided to move to the first room in the basement (under the living room), and about 10 minutes into that investigation, Robert captured another pink orb in the doorway to the other side of the basement (bottom picture). Was this pink spirit following us?

D'arcy6140 viewsThis was D'Arcy's first visit inside the Lighthouse. We toured the lighthouse including both sides of the basement with Heather Hunter, Public Relations from the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. This is the only photo from all the ones taken that day that is like this - it appears there is a figure standing directly behind D'Arcy which makes the photo look distorted.

Little Girl's Corner5419 viewsThis picture was taken at the open house. I "felt" the presence of a little girl in the small bedroom upstairs, next to the bathroom and closest to the stairs. I was hoping to capture something. She didn't "speak" to me, but I felt like she was melancholy because it was raining and she couldn't go outside to play.

LanternRoomFace.jpg
Lantern Room Face- Second Image2279 viewsJust before dusk on Saturday September 19, 2009, my wife Kathy and I visited the Point Lookout Lighthouse for the Lighthouse Challenge. We were late getting to Point Lookout. In fact, we were the last ones to sign the log for that day. I climbed the stairs to the upper part of the lighthouse and took some pictures while my wife waited on a bench outside the lighthouse. I was the only person above the ground level floor at that point. I then climbed through the entrance to the cupola and was taking more pictures. In both pictures, a man's face is clearly distinguishable. The image appears to have some sort of facial hair and glasses or goggles (or some something on his eyes.) I was not wearing glasses. The image is definitely not my reflection. My family has taken an interest in the pictures and we did some research on the internet. We thought there is a possibility that the image could be that of William Yeatman, a lighthouse keeper who died at the light house after serving 37 years as keeper.22222

South Side Bedroom Orb4528 viewsThis picture was taken from the south side bedroom, looking down the hallway to the cupola. The orb is located on the door jamb and appears to be moving. No other unusual measurements accompanied this picture.
Laura and I were alone in the lighthouse, wandering from room to room while we recorded and took pictures. We try to ask historically relevant questions, including calling out some of the names of former occupants.
